Who we are
Allison in Ha Noi is a small, independent website sharing guides, videos, and recommendations about life in and travel to Hanoi, Vietnam. The Site is operated by Kenneth Baker, operating as Perfectly Reasonable Content Creation, which is the “data controller” responsible for information collected through this Site under applicable data-protection law.

Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and the date and time of access. This is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site. We do not use this information to build advertising or marketing profiles.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to understand aggregate traffic — for example, which pages are popular, roughly how many visitors we get, and the general country and referring site. This is measured without cookies and without tracking you across other websites. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors or to build advertising profiles.
What we do not do
We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site itself does not set first-party cookies or use local storage to track you (our analytics is cookieless). The main things to know:
- Embedded YouTube videos. We embed videos using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our visitors or others.
International data transfers
Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the standard contractual clauses used by these providers) for such transfers.
How long we keep your information
We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to respond to you and for reasonable follow-up, after which they are deleted. Automatically collected server logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes.
Your rights
